Ondo 10th Assembly Elects Landmark, Akiruntan as Speaker, Deputy Speaker
The Ondo State House of Assembly has unanimously elected Hon Oladiji Landmark as Speaker of 10th Assembly. This was done at the inaugural plenary at the chamber today presided by the clerk of the House, Barr Jaiyeola Benjamin on 3rd June, 2023.
While nominating Hon Oladiji Landmark a second term member from Ondo East for the Speakership position, the member representing Ifedore constituency, Hon Tope Komolafe described Landmark as competent with capacity to lead the 10th Assembly. This motion was seconded by Hon Abiola Oladapo from Ondo West State Constituency 2.
In the same vein, Hon Abayomi Akinrutan, a third term member was nominated by Hon Tosin Ogunlowo Ajirotutu from Idanre and supported by other members as Deputy Speaker.
