FRSC and Federal Fire Service Collaborate to Eliminate Fire-Related Accidents
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Federal Fire Service (FFS) have confidently established a powerful partnership aimed at completely eliminating fire-related accidents on Nigerian roads. This proactive collaboration arises in direct response to a troubling trend of road traffic crashes that have resulted in fire outbreaks.

This partnership was officially inaugurated at the FRSC’s national headquarters by Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed and Controller-General Jaji Olola Abdulganiyu of the FFS. Together, these agencies will implement comprehensive joint training for personnel, conduct coordinated enforcement patrols, and enhance data sharing to significantly boost response times and operational efficiency.
During their meeting, the Controller-General of the Federal Fire Service firmly emphasized the agency’s steadfast commitment to protecting lives and property. He expressed strong confidence that this partnership will greatly enhance both agencies’ abilities to effectively address fire-related emergencies on the roads.
In response, FRSC Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed articulated that this collaboration clearly demonstrates the Corps’ unwavering dedication to improving road safety and its resolve to implement innovative solutions to the challenges facing Nigeria’s transportation sector. Mohammed also asserted that the joint training program will equip personnel from both agencies with essential skills in fire prevention, firefighting, and emergency response. Furthermore, the partnership will facilitate superior data sharing and more efficient patrol operations, significantly enhancing their capability to respond to emergencies effectively and swiftly.
