Comrade Akinmoladun Felix Bolarinwa, popularly known as “POPO” and Youth Ambassador of Ondo Kingdom, has commended the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Adesanmi Oladiji, for what he described as unwavering loyalty and exemplary leadership in aligning with the vision of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
Akinmoladun, in a statement made available to journalists, praised the Speaker’s full compliance with the consensus candidate selection process initiated by the governor, noting that the move reflects strong party discipline and commitment to collective progress.
He described the decision to sustain Oladiji’s leadership beyond 2027 as a strategic step towards ensuring political stability and continuity in governance within the state.
According to him, the Speaker’s action demonstrates a clear understanding of party supremacy and the need to prioritise the overall interest of the All Progressives Congress (APC) above personal ambition.
“Rt. Hon. Oladiji has shown what true leadership entails by aligning completely with the governor’s vision. His loyalty serves as a model for other politicians who seek to promote unity and development in the state,” Akinmoladun said.
The Youth Ambassador further noted that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s decision was anchored on merit, competence and electoral strength, adding that retaining experienced leadership in the legislature would help sustain the gains already recorded in Ondo State.
He stressed that political unity in the state would also contribute significantly to strengthening the APC’s position ahead of future elections, including the 2027 general polls.
Akinmoladun linked the development to national politics, stating that a stable and united Ondo State would support the realisation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.
Reaffirming his personal commitment, the Youth Ambassador declared his readiness to support the Speaker’s leadership and political direction at all times.
He also called on youths, particularly in Ondo East Local Government, to emulate the values of loyalty, discipline and unity, stressing that the future of progressive governance depends largely on their active participation.
Akinmoladun urged them to rally behind the current leadership structure and contribute meaningfully to sustaining peace and development across the state.
