TEACHERS FELICITATE WITH OLOGUN ON HIS APPOINTMENT AS COMMISSIONER

   The Teachers in Akure North Local Government, ably represented by the executive members of Nigeria Union of Teachers have felicitated with the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Otunba Bamidele Ologun on his appointment as Commissioner.

Speaking while on a courtesy visit to the Commissioner in his office at Akure, the Chairman of Nigeria Union Of Teachers, Akure North Local Government Chapter, Comrade Aderuku Akinloye expressed his happiness on the appointment and his inauguration as Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development in Ondo State.
He assured the Commissioner of teacher’s support being the son of a teacher and used the opportunity to explain their request in the Primary Schools within the Local Government such as support for sporting activities, sponsoring of Commissioner’s cup and provision of scholarships for pupils in the Public Primary Schools.

Meanwhile, in his response, the Commissioner appreciated them for their love for him and promised to support sporting activities in the Primary Schools within the Local Government, provision of scholarships to at least two pupils per school and expressed support for the Commissioner’s Cup.

  He solicisted  for their support during the forthcoming election to the House of Representatives in the area and donated  the sum of fifty thousand naira ( #50,000) only to the Union 

They unanimously commended him for his kind gesture and promised to support his Party, All Progressive Congress (APC) during the election.
