Pastor Mrs Esther Ologunola Buries Mum Amidst Eulogies

Mother of Pastor Mrs Esther Ologunola, Princess Dorcas Omolara Ayodele, Nee Adeniyi (a.k.a. Iya rere) has been laid to rest at her residence, Sanyo area of lbadan, the capital of Oyo State.

Late madam Dorcas Omolara Ayodele was a devoted christian that lived for God.

Eulogies and calls for emulation of the virtues of the deceased started pouring in from the wake keep service held at her residence on Thursday 20 to Friday 21, 2023 to the funeral service at Foursquare Gospel Church, behind Fountain School, Sanyo area, lbadan.

While leading the funeral service at Foursquare Gospel Church, the National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and presiding Bishop of Christ Life Church Worldwide, Bishop Francis Wale Oke, extolled the virtues of late Ayodele and implored all her children, relatives and congregants to emulate her.

He stated that while death was an inescapable passage to eternal life, time and manner it would occur was however unknown to humans, hence it is imperative for all human beings to live well.

According to him, “living well was akin to living a responsible life that shows you have a relationship with God, a life that signifies your love for your faith and for humanity”.

“Live the way you want to die and die the way you lived. It is not your presence in the church or mosque that tells how well you are living your life.

The man of God who took his sermon from the book of Mathew 7vs 15 said, “Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, but corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Our beloved mother is a good fruit because all the fruit that came out of her body were good fruits. Live a life that can
reflect the goodness of God anywhere, whoever you are, that is what it means to live and die in Christ”.

Bishop Oke stated further that, “Princess Dorcas Omolara Ayodele, lived in Christ and died in Christ, meaning she would live forever.
She lived a disciplined life, a committed life, and a responsible life. In fact, everything positive was associated with her”.

Speaking with the Focus Magazine Publisher, Pastor Mrs Esther Ologunola, one of mama daughter said, her Mum was a simple woman, honest, humble, down to earth and hospitable.

She appealed for love for one another and understanding of all Nigerians, saying this is the only way we could benefit from the country’s development.

She urged all the visitors present at the funeral ceremony to always live in love and peace.

She said, “let the love continue so we can all benefit. Let there be peace among Nigerians. We brought nothing to this world and we won’t take anything away”.

In his response, one of mama in-law, Pastor Samson Ologunola, re-echoed that “Mama was an epitome of honesty, integrity, dignity and honour. She was a woman of inestimable value. A woman who lives her life with simplicity and dignity”

“As ones of in-laws, there is nothing we can do but to live our lives the way she loved. She has left an easy path for us to follow but by the grace of God, we are going to walk in her shoes. Although, it is a very big shoes”.
