Owo/Ose Reps Hopeful, Ogundare Bags Philanthropic Recognition Award

Oluwaseyi Gabriel Ogundare, the Social Democratic Party Candidate for the Owo/Ose House of Representatives Seat, will bag this year’s Chronicle Magazine Philanthropic Recognition Award.


The Chronicle Magazine Award is a special category of Awards designed to celebrate and honour individuals of unaltered integrity and dignity; who have distinguished themselves in their chosen paths. Ogundare will be recognized for his tremendous contributions to the development of society through his The Ogundare’s Foundation.

The Imoru-born technocrat founded the initiative to birth success stories, emancipate the downtrodden communities and individuals, and has through the foundation restored electricity to Ifon, one of the communities in Ose Local Government of Ondo State. Also, Ogundare through his NGO constructed classroom blocks in Imoru/Ijagba community.

In his quest in leaving no one behind, The Ogundare’s foundation has been an aid to indigent students by providing education materials, as well as facilitating different scholarship and grant schemes in and outside his community.

 

Ogundare, whose passion for development is second to none recently rolled out a scholarship scheme for the victim’s children of the Owo Church massacre. He has also at some point supported the security architecture of the State by donating needed materials to the Amotekun corps in his community.

The theme of this year’s Chronicle Anniversary/Public Lecture is Insecurity: A Threat to Human Existence and Economic Development in Nigeria to be delivered by Mr. Eni Akinsola, the CPS to former Governor Olusegun Mimiko of which Chief Ifedayo Adedipe SAN is expected to be the Chairman.

The 9th in the series will be held at the Sunbeth Hotel, Sijuade, Akure, with Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu as Special Guest of Honour.
While Special Guests for the ceremony are Rt. Hon Victor Olabimtan, SUBEB Chairman, Dr. Tolulola Bayode, the President and Founder of the biggest Orphanage homes in Africa.

In the meantime, HRM Aladelusi Ogunlade, Deji of Akure, HRM Ademola Adebiyi Oyinbade, Oloba of Uso and HRM Rotimi Obamuwagun, the Olumoru of Imoru will be Royal Fathers of the Day.
