Ondo Lawmakers Visit Akeredolu’s Family In Ibadan

Members of the Ondo State House of Assembly today, paid a condolence visit to the family of Late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in his Ibadan residence.

The Lawmakers led by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji also had in the entourage, the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abayomi Akinruntan, Majority leader, Hon. Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi, Principal Officers and other members of the 10th Assembly.

The Speaker, while commiserating with the family, especially, Mrs Betty Akeredolu stated that Late Governor Akeredolu has done a lot for Ondo State and its citizens.

“We’ve lost a leader, a father figure, a seasoned politician who cares about his people”, the Speaker said.

He added that there’s no local government in the State that didn’t feel his impacts and he believed in development his people.

He urged the family to put their faith in God in this trying time, take heart as God is there to take care of them. He also encouraged people of Ondo State to continue to pray for Governor Akeredolu’s family and the State at large.

Oladiji prayed to God to grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Other members described Late Governor Akeredolu’s death as a big loss to the House of Assembly, adding he will be greatly missed by the people and his land mark cannot be forgotten.

Responding on behalf of the family, his younger brother, Prof. Oluwole Akeredolu appreciated the Lawmakers for finding time to visit the family.
