EID_EL_MAULUD CELEBRATION: ONDO SPEAKER, OLADIJI FELICITATES MUSLIMS, PREACHES PEACE AND UNITY
The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Chief) Olamide Oladiji (JP), has felicitated Muslim faithful in Ondo State and Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid_El_Maulud, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) today.
In a goodwill message personally signed by the Speaker, he urges Muslim brothers and sisters to use the occasion to reflect on the exemplary life and teachings of the prophet, particularly his virtues of compassion, humility, sacrifice and peaceful coexistence.
“I extend warm felicitations to you all on this joyous occasion. The auspicious celebration is no doubt a testament to the enduring values of compassion, peace and unity that Islam embodies”, the statement reads.
Oladiji specifically appreciates and commends the Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his sincere efforts and intervention towards restoring peace, stability and unity in the State House of Assembly, saying that his prompt efforts has demonstrated his unalloyed commitment to the overall development of the Sunshine State.
He assures that the House remains committed to carrying out its constitutional responsibilities with dedication, maturity and a strong sense of duty, while supporting initiatives that promote good governance and development.
The Speaker, who wishes the Muslim faithful a joyous celebration, prays that the celebration brings abundant blessings, joy and prosperity to their families and the entire people of Ondo State.
