Delta Police Arrest Officers Seen Counting Cash in Viral Video
The Delta State Police Command has arrested four officers filmed counting bundles of cash inside a patrol van in a viral video.
Police spokesperson Bright Edafe, in a statement on Tuesday, described the footage as “embarrassing.” He confirmed that the officers had been identified and paraded before the Commissioner of Police.
He added that two senior officers have been issued queries, while two inspectors are in custody and will face an orderly room trial.
The arrest followed public outrage after the clip spread across social media, raising questions about police integrity.
Edafe assured the public that disciplinary action will be taken, stressing the Command’s zero tolerance for misconduct.
