In line with the management decision to honour outstanding personalities during its Annual Lecture and Award,
This year which is the 7th Anniversary, the Chronicle Magazine is honouring the Regent of Ayeka Kingdom, Princess (Barr) Oluyemi Bajowa , Hon Akogun Omole, Chairman House Committee on Information, ODHA among others to mark the Media outfit 7th Anniversary.
The Annual Lecture and Award is coming up on the 13th of September, 2020.This leading news Magazine over the years has always be at the forefront of reporting unbiased news items within and outside Ondo State in accordance with the best practice of journalism. It is on this note that the management of the organization is rolling another drum to celebrate high profile personalities that have contributed immensely to the development of mankind and humanity in Ondo State.
According to the Publisher and Editor-in-chief of the Chronicle Magazine, Olaseeni Oyesusi, he said
the choice of Awardees were carefully and painstakingly selected by the Award Screening Committee and came up with names of people of impeccable characters.
The personalities that made the top 12 are Hon Olugbenga Omole(Man of the Year), Princess Oluyemi Bajowa (Outstanding Monarch of the Year), Engr. Adebowale Marcus, State Coordinator, Ondo NEWMAP(All Time Achiever Award), Hon (Chief) Omotayo Eniku, CEO Enik Omos Group of Company(Entrepreneur of the Year),Pastor J A Akinbodewa, Retired INEC Director(Excellent in Faith and Leadership Award),Mr. Shola Ilesanmin OSRC(Journalist of the Year), Mr. Femi Bayode, Fembay Music(Musician of the Year), Dr Sunday Owoyemi, CEO Sunbeth Hotel(Businessman of the Year), Hon Ohiremen Olabisi John (Youth Ambassador Award),Mr. Babade Oluwatope, CEO Topline Global Petroleum(Oil and Gas Marketer of the Year), Mr Victor Olajorin, PS Establishment and Training Office of the Head of Service(Outstanding Public Servant of the Year) and Mrs Funmilayo Ogunji Ikujini, Business Tycoon, Akure(Women Ambassador Award).
The Guest Speaker, Mr Ola Olalere Alaba JP, a Communication Expert and Public Commentator will deliver a Lecture titled: Monetization of Electoral Policies and the Challenges of Political Thuggery in Nigeria Democracy; Ondo 2020 in View.
To comply with the Covid-19 safety guidelines of the State Government, the event will take place at the expansive hall of Sunbeth Hotel, Sijuade, Akure under the royal fathers of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo(Deji of Akure), HRM Ademola Olanipekun(Oloba of Uso) and HRM Rotimi Obamuwagun(Olumoru of Imoru).
The Chairman of the occasion is the revered Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Ifedayo Adedipe; while the Special Guests of honour Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, the executive governor of Ondo State. Expected as Special Guests are Rt Hon Bamidele Oleyelogun, Speaker ODHA, Princess Oladunni Odu, SUBEB Chairman; Mr Olayato Aribo, CEO Micmaking Nig Ltd and Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, PDP Governorship Aspirant.
