It was a gathering of Who is Who in the society. It was On Sunday 3rd March, 2024. The Auditorium of the Golden Tosrich Events Center, Ondo Road, Akure was filled to its capacity as Ayomide Enikuomehin, daughter of Chief Eniku Omotayo, community leader and business mogul was crowned Miss Ondo State International 2024 in the area of Culture and Tourism.
At the event that had prominent personalities in attendance, Ayomide defeated five other finalists to emerge the first runners up in the contest following the result of the Panel of Judges independently selected for the event as she had earlier been selected among the seven participants for the grand finale.
The contestants were engaged in unity dance as well as traditional dance even as they were drilled on some contemporary issues relating to the feminine gender in the society.
By this very impressive performance, Ayomide who is a final year student of Accounting at the Novena University, Delta State would go home with a cash prize of five hundred thousand naira, a plot of land in Akure, the Ondo State Capital, and a trip to South Africa which is to commence sometimes in June.
Meanwhile, as at press time, the proud Ikale Lady who represented Okitipupa Local Government in the beauty contest is still in the camp alongside the three other contestants that were equally crowned waiting to have some deliberations with the Governor of Ondo State, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa in their capacities as new Ambassadors of the state.
