APC Primary: Tinubu Cruises to Victory With Nearly 11 Million Votes, Secures 2027 Presidential Ticket
President Bola Tinubu has emerged as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general election after recording a resounding victory in the party’s nationwide primary election.

Tinubu defeated fellow aspirant Stanley Osifo by a wide margin, polling 10,999,967 votes against Osifo’s 16,504 votes in the direct primary conducted across the party’s 8,809 wards nationwide.
The outcome was announced during the national collation of results held in Abuja, where party officials declared Tinubu the winner of the exercise.
The President recorded overwhelming support across several states, securing dominant victories in key political strongholds including Lagos, Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Imo, Delta, Rivers, and Benue states.
The result further consolidates Tinubu’s position within the ruling party and sets the stage for his bid to seek a second term in office during the 2027 presidential election.
The primary election was monitored by party leaders, governors, and members of the APC Presidential Primary Election Committee, which oversaw the conduct and collation of votes from across the country.
With the victory, Tinubu becomes the APC’s flagbearer for the 2027 election, as the party prepares to defend its hold on power in the next electoral cycle.
