Ibadan, Oyo State — It was an evening of worship, gratitude and unity in Akinyele Local Government as members of the APC Itesiwaju Movement gathered on Monday, 7th September, 2027 for a special interdenominational prayer session in honour of one of the Movement’s foremost leaders, Professor Femi Jubreel.

The colourful gathering brought together Muslim clerics and Christian pastors from across Akinyele, who lifted voices in prayers for the celebrant, his family, the leadership of the Movement, and the continued growth of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Leaders and Stakeholders in Attendance
The session was led by the Leader of the Movement, Alhaji Mukaila Abiola Ambali. He was joined by other apex leaders including the Chairman, Hon. Ayobami Akinpade; Vice Chairman, Elder Gabriel Olasunkanmi Akinyele; former Woman Leader, Ward 5, Mrs. Tairat Olanipekum; Mr. Muyideen Adisa (Kokoro); Mr. Kereem Ogunsina; Alhaji Animasun; Alhaji Lasisi Gbolagade; Mrs. Oyetade; and representatives of Chief Erelu Olayinka Jayeoba, alongside a large turnout of members and supporters.
Prayers for the Celebrant, Movement and Party
The prayer session was dedicated to thanking God for Professor Jubreel’s life and asking for continued good health, wisdom, long life, prosperity and greater accomplishments for him and his family.
Special intercessions were also made for the leadership and members of the APC Itesiwaju Movement, and for unity and victory of the APC nationwide in the 2027 polls.
A major highlight was the collective prayer for the six APC candidates whose elections will hold in Akinyele Local Government. The clergy prayed for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Distinguished Senator Yunus Akintunde; Hon. Wasiu Olafisoye Akinmoyede; Barrister Sharafadeen Ali; Hon. Gbenga Ajao; and Hon. Jeleel Babatunde Owoade.
Ambali Hails Jubreel’s Contributions
In his goodwill message, Alhaji Ambali described Professor Jubreel as “a blessing to the APC family in Akinyele.”
“His innovative ideas and strategic approach to political mobilisation have helped to transform the political landscape of our Local Government,” Ambali said. “Professor Jubreel has consistently deployed his intellectual capacity, personal resources and extensive network to mobilise members and supporters for the progress and success of our party. His commitment is worthy of emulation by other leaders.”
Jubreel Reaffirms Commitment, Donates Materials
Responding with appreciation, Professor Jubreel thanked everyone who attended, and those who sent representatives, prayers, goodwill messages and gifts.
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the APC and working for its victory in 2027.
“As part of our mobilisation drive, I am donating food materials and household items to support our proposed house-to-house campaign and grassroots activities,” he announced. “I am also donating 1,000 copies of campaign posters bearing our six APC candidates to strengthen our mobilisation ahead of the elections.”
Professor Jubreel assured the leadership and members of the Movement of his continued dedication of both intellectual and material resources to strengthening the party at the grassroots.
The event ended with renewed prayers, songs of praise, and a renewed resolve among members to work together for the success of the APC Itesiwaju Movement and the party in the forthcoming elections.
