Akeredolu charges Corps Members on selfless service
The Executive Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu SAN, CON has charged the newly deployed Corps Members to the state to be ready to render selfless service.


He made this assertion while addressing the 2023 Batch ‘A’ ( stream II ) Corps Members deployed to the state at the NYSC permanent orientation camp in Ikare – Akoko, Akeredolu said the Corps Members should justify their deployment and do their best to enhance the Development of the State through the service year.
The Governor, who was represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Otunba Bamidele Ologunloluwa, admonished the new Corps Members to do away with whatever misconception they may have been fed with about the people of Southwest, in particular Ondo State.
” I am privileged to inform you that Yoruba are accommodating, industrious, peace loving. You will enjoy your stay with them”, he said.
He asserted that Yoruba love people who are honest and straightforward and charged them to display these attributes if they want to enjoy the support of residents of their host community.
Akeredolu also assured that his government would adequately take care of Corps Members security and welfare during the service year.
He promised that the government will continue to improve on developmental projects and infrastructure that will encourage those who observe their mandatory service to stay and live in the state at the end of the service year.
The Chairman, NYSC Ondo State Governing Board, who was represented by the Administrative Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Mrs Foluke Tunde Daramola enjoyed the Corps Members to see Ondo State as their home as the state is relatively peaceful and secure.
The representative of the Chief Judge of Ondo State, Honourable Justice Femi Akinbinu administered the oath of allegiance on over 1000 prospective Corps Members with a charge to them to see their call to service as an opportunity to contribute their quota to the development of the country.
Earlier, the State Coordinator, Mrs Victoria Nnena Ani encouraged the Corps Members to comport themselves and participate in all the activities in the camp, cooperate with camp officials by obeying all the rules and regulations.
