Olumide Obadele to be Honoured at D Chronicle Media Ventures 13th Anniversary
Political strategist and Director-General of the Progressives Network for Tinubu, PNT, Olumide Obadele will be honoured at the 13th Anniversary Celebration of D Chronicle Media Ventures on Sunday, 30th August, 2026. The event holds at the OSDPC Multipurpose Event Hall, Ijapo Estate, Akure, Ondo State, at 2:00 PM prompt. The theme for this year is Agenda 2027: Leadership, Accountability, Progress.
D Chronicle said Obadele is being recognised for his leadership in grassroots mobilisation, political education, and for strengthening structures that support progressive governance in Nigeria.
Olumide Obadele serves as Director-General of the Progressives Network for Tinubu, a structured political support platform established to promote, defend, and advance the leadership philosophy and reform agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. In that role, he provides overall strategic direction for the organisation and coordinates national and sub-national networks committed to citizen engagement and democratic values. His leadership has been instrumental in expanding grassroots participation, mobilising diverse support bases, and sustaining advocacy rooted in discipline, unity, and service.
Known for his organisational depth and calm but firm leadership style, Obadele has consistently harmonised interests across political, professional, and community groups. His work reflects a strong belief in inclusive politics that brings youths, professionals, artisans, and community leaders into constructive participation. Through advocacy campaigns, stakeholder engagements, and structured mobilisation, he has contributed to building confidence in reform-oriented governance and deepening public understanding of progressive ideals. His approach emphasises loyalty to principles rather than personalities, institutional growth over personal prominence, and service-driven leadership over political noise.

A trained journalist, Obadele combines media practice with public service and community engagement. He also serves in ecclesiastical assignment. He is married to Joyce and they are blessed with three boys.
The anniversary will feature a keynote lecture to be delivered by Hon. Dayo Awude, former Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Ondo State, during the administration of Dr. Olusegun Mimiko. Chairman of the occasion is Prince Eni Akinsola, Public Analyst and COO of Agogo Publishers Ltd. Special Guests include Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, Commander of Amotekun Corps, Ondo State, and Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, Chief Press Secretary to the Ondo State Governor. Royal Fathers of the Day are HRM Rotimi Obamuwagun Nwade I, Olumoru of Imoru Kingdom, and HRM Oba Engr. Ademola Adebiyi Oyinbade Olanipekun III, PhD, Oloba of Uso. Special Guest of Honour is His Excellency Dr. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, Governor of Ondo State.
The event will also feature the launch of the D Chronicle 13th Anniversary Commemorative Magazine, which will profile awardees and their contributions to national development. For 13 years, D Chronicle Media Ventures has promoted truth, accountability, and national progress through Chronicle TV, Chronicle Online, and Chronicle Magazine.
