THREE YEARS OF LEGISLATIVE EXCELLENCE:ONDO SPEAKER,OLADIJI SALUTES LAWMAKERS
The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon(Chief) Olamide Oladiji (JP),has congratulated members of the 10th Assembly on the occasion of the third anniversary of the House, describing the milestone as a testament to the commitment, unity and dedication of the lawmakers to quality legislation and effective representation.
The Speaker,expressed this in a goodwill message personally signed and made available to journalists in Akure today.
According to him, over the past three years, the Assembly has remained focused on its constitutional responsibilities through the passage of impactful laws, oversight of government activities and representation of the interests of the people across the State.
While expressing appreciation to his fellow lawmakers for their unwavering support, dedication and commitment at all times to the legislative business of the State,he explained that their diligence and corporations have strengthened the Assembly’s capacity to discharge its constitutional responsibilities effectively.
“I sincerely appreciate my colleagues for their commitment and steadfast devotion to the legislative business of the House.l acknowledge your selfless service, patriotism and unwavering commitment to the progress of our sunshine State”,he said.
Oladiji also extended heartfelt gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa for the cordial relationship with the legislative arm of government and his commitment to good governance, infrastructural development and policies aimed at improving the welfare of the people.
“The harmonious working relationship between the executive and the legislative arms have continued to promote peace, stability and sustainable development in the State.No doubt,the mutual respect and understanding between the two arms have fostered an enabling environment for the formulation and implementation of policies and programs aimed at improving the welfare of the people of the Sunshine State”,he explained.
He used the medium to commend the entire staff of the House for their commitment to duty and invaluable contributions which he said has enhanced the efficient functioning of the House of Assembly.
The Speaker,later reaffirmed the resolve of the Assembly to continue to enact people _oriented laws and provide the necessary legislative support for policies that will advance the growth and development of Ondo State.
