The Man: Hon. Ade Adeogun (The Beautiful Brand)*

The Man: Hon. Ade Adeogun (The Beautiful Brand)

In the journey of life, there are different groups of people traveling through the same roads with various destinations. These groups of people include participants, on-looker, movers and shakers. The followers are the set of people people who don’t know the main aim of the race they are running. They listen to the noise on the road and they get distracted. They can be easily influenced by the decision of others. Most of the time, these groups don’t normally get to the peak of their careers.

We also have the onlookers. These set of groups are so indifferent, inactive, and run the vision of others instead of going on their vision. They don’t look inward enough. They like to celebrate others’ achievements. Onlookers are also referred to as spectators. They may not reach their targets on time. This kind of people are known to be followers and they can never be leaders.

The third category of groups are the movers and shakers. These set of groups know their vision and they know what they want and go for it. They make things happen. When they move, people move with them. They are the people of influence, power and take responsibility in any situation they find themselves doing as they are born to be leaders. This last set of groups of movers and shakers is where, Hon.Ade Adeogun, the beautiful brand belongs. It’s important to acknowledge Hon. Adeogun for his sterling performance during the 9th Assembly, which formed his new ambition to represent Ondo North Senatorial District in the forthcoming general elections, and the people of Ondo North Senatorial District are looking forward to support his ambition.

Although, the race for the Ondo North Senatorial District has begun in earnest, while several politicians have shown interest in exercising their right to be voted for, Hon. Adeogun’s acceptance by the people of Ondo North Senatorial District is shown in his humility, integrity, dignity and diligent character and sense of purpose. The ubiquitous support for Adeogun by all and sundry across the length and breath of Ondo North Senatorial District is not unconnected with his political slogan of “Beautiful Brand”.
Hon.Adeogun possesses uncommon insights

Hon. Ade Adeogun is one of Nigeria’s embodiments of hope, aspirations and promise. In his public life, he is a prolific writer, mentor of youths, advocate for good governance and community leader, while in private life; he is a philanthropist, a high performing technocrat with over forty years experience in Security Services, Counter Intelligence, Waste Management, Business and Policy formulation.

Hon. Adeogun is a one-man riot squad in the audacious challenge of political usurpation and rascality. Popularly known as the ‘Beautiful Brand’, he parades an enviable scholarly record that gleams unabated in the atmosphere of moral and academic excellence.

Born to the noble family of Olumomi of Obaju Quarters, Oba-Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government area of Ondo State. He attended Z. I Primary School Oba-Akoko, and Borgu Primary School, New Bussa. He further attended Oludaye Grammar School, Oba Akoko, for his secondary education after which he was employed into the Nigeria Security Organization (NSO), in 1983. Adeogun proceeded to the University of Ibadan in 1985, and graduated with a Second Class Upper
Division in Archaeology in 1989. He was later admitted into New York Merchant Marine
Academy at Long Island, New York City, United States where he received training in Maritime
Security Administration and thereafter obtained a Master’s Degree from Manchester Business School, United Kingdom.

Also in his academic credentials are various professional certificates with which he has capably fortified himself. After graduating from the University of Ibadan, Adeogun returned to the State Security Service (Now Department of State Services) where he had earlier served, but this time, as a Cadet Officer. And on account of his productivity, intellect and excellent service delivery, he rose quickly within the service and held various positions, amongst which are; Personal Assistant to Rivers State Director of SSS, Chief Security Officer (CSO) to Chief Peter Odili while he was Governor of Rivers State, Principal Staff International, Ondo State, and Training Manager, State Security Academy Lagos, before he voluntarily resigned from the service in 2007 to go into private business.

As a matter of fact, Hon. Adeogun began private business in 1994 when he joined three other friends to start a security company named, Sekurity Project Limited and was its pioneer Managing Director. His stints afterwards as a consultant to some multinational blue-chip companies which gave him opportunities to make pitches with CEOs of companies like Ciscon Oil Field Services, Arib Oil,
Intels Service, Schlumberger, Geco Prakla, Rivers State Vegetable Oil Company and a host of others, exposed him to the real world of business and glamorously fine-tuned his business skills and acumen. And it was the experience and exposure gained from running this business that
emboldened him to disengage from a bright career in the security service at a time he was being projected as one of its future leaders.

Today, Hon. Ade Adeogun is proudly the MD/CEO of Magnum & Hunter Limited, a Lagos based corporate entity which began operations in 2003 as a Consulting Firm but has overtime diversified from Consulting to Waste Management and presently into development infrastructure,
commercial real estate investment as well as management of tangible assets. He is also on the boards of three other viable companies where he is dutifully involved in Change Management, Business
Planning and Leadership Development.

As a tested man of courage, sagacity, audacity, valour, gallantry, heroism, fortitude and unparalleled bravery, Adeogun was called into the service of Rivers State government between 2007 and 2015
where he served as Honorary Special Adviser to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi
Amaechi, when he was Governor of the River State, and later as the Sole Administrator of Rivers State Waste Management Agency which employed over 2,000 workers. Like he exhibited in his previous positions, Adeogun turned the company, then a moribund entity into the most efficient government
parastatal in Rivers State.
While he served as Special Adviser on Special Duties, Adeogun advised the Governor on, and
subsequently supervised the formation of Command, Control, Computers, Communications and
Intelligence Centre (C4i) to coordinate the activities of all the security agencies in the River State. And through his efforts and management, the C4i which was the first of such Centre in Nigeria, raised the efficiency of security formations by creating a unified command and control structure and eliminating inter-agency rivalries.

In Rivers State, Adeogun became one of the leaders of Yoruba and non-indigene community, and he championed the inclusion of non-indigenes in government. Through his efforts, several non-indigenes including Yoruba and Hausa were appointed into different levels of government while the discriminatory tuition fees system in the State University was abolished. Despite his passive interest in partisan politics, Adeogun played an active role in the formation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2013, for the party appeared to him as the only avenue to resist the oppression of the then ruling party.

It is worthy of note that this charismatic security expert, business chief, political icon and human resource manager founded Brentonwoods & Trinity Leadership Foundation, serving as an avenue to pursue his mission for nurturing, empowering and developing young leaders, and the not-forprofit organization has since inception been involved in enlightenment programs, youth empowerment and rights advocacy.

However, on the 27th of June, 2017, he launched Ade Adeogun Foundation in his hometown Oba Akoko, particularly to cater for the interests of the people of
Akoko kingdom with whom he shares the same existential traits, and instigate the psychic drive of other eminent sons and daughters of Akoko land towards giving their ancestral communities a better facelift and creating a more livable and enabling environment for Akoko people that are based at
home.Through this Foundation, Hon. Ade Adeogun has been able to renovate dilapidated blocks of classrooms, engage youths in agriculture, finance some community infrastructure projects, repair damaged boreholes, fix electricity challenges in certain parts of Akoko land, rescue private individuals from distress and sponsor a number of social and welfare programmes.

Hon. Adeogun offered himself to serve the people of Akoko South East/South West Federal Constituency of Ondo State in 2019. It is on record that he ran one of the toughest elections as he had to contend with the political establishments who saw him as altering the ‘game’ and disrupting the political line of succession. But he enjoyed an overwhelming support of his people which culminated in his victory at the House of Representatives election of February 23, 2019.

Between 2019 and 2023 that he represented his people at the National Assembly, Hon. Adeogun facilitated the construction and renovation of critical infrastructure that include roads, bridges, blocks of
classrooms, community town halls, police quarters, state security office, industrial boreholes, as well as erosion control projects, electricity transformers, modern furniture and instructional aides for secondary schools.

Realizing that unemployment was a major crisis bedeviling the young generation, Hon. Adeogun
deployed his rich contacts and influence to facilitate employment opportunities for over 120 young people in various federal government agencies, such as; Nigerian Port Authority, National Intelligence Agency, Nigerian Railway Corporation, Department of State Services, Nigerian customs Service, Nigerian Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigerian Security & Civil Defence Corps, Nigerian Navy, Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police Force,
Nigeria Police Academy, Federal Medical Centre Lokoja, Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti,
Federal School of Medical Laboratory Technology, Jos, as well as Ondo State Civil Service and Ondo State Teaching Service Commission.

Apart from helping the youth to gain employment, Hon. Adeogun initiated a partnership with Upland College of Education, Ipesi Akoko, to train young people who, on account of their social and
economic backgrounds may not be able to afford tertiary schooling. Record has it that, at least 800
young people have benefited from his tuition-free scholarship at the private College of Education in Ipesi Akoko, leading to the obtainment and award of National Certificate of Education (NCE) to all of them.

Adeogun also facilitated training opportunity sponsored by NIMASA for a few young people in Greece and India while he continues to support students of other higher institutions with bursary awards. It is with glorious delight that we report his life changing empowerments in partnership with NPA, NFC, ITF and SMEDAN to many artisans and small business owners in Akoko South East/South West Federal Constituency, through which hundreds of lives of artisans and entrepreneurs have been beautifully touched, as well as transporters provided with cars, buses and motorbikes.

Hon. Adeogun sponsored the highest number of Bills amongst all the Reps Members from Ondo
State in the ninth National Assembly, and gave his people a stentorian voice. He served as the Chairman of Ad hoc Committee on Recovered Assets of the Federal Government (within and outside Nigeria) from 2002 – 2020. Through this Committee, Hon. Adeogun uncovered a lot of
mind boggling cases of misappropriation as he investigated various high profile government officials under the Buhari administration. He also served as the Deputy Chairman House Committee on National Security and Intelligence, as well as Member of other various Committees that include Petroleum Downstream, Ecological Fund, Police Affairs, Poverty Alleviation, Constitution Review, Federal Road Safety Corps, Emergency Management & Disaster Preparedness, National Planning & Economic Development, including the Conference Committee of both Chambers (Senate & Reps) of the National Assembly for the Bill establishing the National Centre for the Coordination and Control of the Proliferation of Small Arms and Light Weapons where he also served as the Chairman.

It is therefore an honour and privilege to celebrate this exceptional Nigerian who has decided to stand out from the crowd through his principled, ambitious and uncompromising nature, with untiring, unwavering and unrelenting struggle for excellence. A man with unusually firm posture,
uncommon bravery and creative impulse. A handsome and energetic man with enviable dexterity, administrative wizardry and unfailing acumen. A very forthright and fearless individual, divinely
garnished with pleasing aura, radiating ambience, honest love, untainted splendour, candour and grandeur, risk management exploits and commitment to the development of human capital. A man whose awards and encomiums grow by the day ˗ Hon. Adejoro Adeogun the Beautiful Brand.

According to him, “I am not in politics to make money. I am not in it to pay school fees for my children or take care of my parents. I am here to serve, i must serve with pride and integrity. I must do it in such a way that everything i do follows laid down rules and principles. I think i have changed the perception considerably “.
Distinguished people of Ondo North Senatorial District, we hereby present Hon.Ade Adeogun to you, the “Beautiful brand” to represent Ondo North Senatorial District, in the 2027 .

Spread the love
