TAOFIK’S ONE YEAR IN OFFICE: A MONUMENTAL ACHIEVEMENT

Hon Taofik Oladele Mohammed who became a Member of the Ondo State House of Assembly to represent the good people of Akoko North/West Constituency II under the platform of the All Progressive Congress(APC) has done tremendously well within a span of one year.

As a grassroot politician who knows the importance of true representative deem it fit to give account of his stewardship.

Recounting few out of the numerous life- touching activities/projects he has embarked on since his inception in office goes thus:

Just within a space of two months in office, he constituted sixteen aides by August last year 2019, and he has been consistent in paying them without owning them a dime up till today.

In order to ensure the sustainability of the weekly ward meeting in his constituency,the lawmaker has been very magnanimous and supportive by ditching out the sum of twenty five thousand naira (#25,00.00) monthly for each of the constituencies he represents at the Ondo State House of Assembly which comprises Okeirun,Odo Irun, Ogbagi and Ese-Afin .This did not only help in sustaining tremendously for the All progressive Congress ((APC) as a party throughout his constituency but also helpparty members to be cohesive up till today.

The attitudinal caring nature of Hon.Taofik Oladele Mohammed as a lawmaker has made him set up a relief foundation called ODUNAYO/TAOFIK Relief Foundation, through which he selected windows across the four wards of Ogbagi, Ese-Afin,Oke-irun and Odo Irun for the distribution of foodstuffs and some amount of money.

The lawmaker in his magnanimous characteristic recently purchesed jamb forms for the less privileged but brilliant students accros the four Wards of his constituency.
Besides, Hon. Taofik Oladele Mohammed the lawmaker representing the good people of Akoko North/West constituency 11 at the Ondo State House of Assembly has sought audience wbeen on a roundtable with His Excellency, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, at different times for the latter to extend his hands of numerous projects towards our constituency which resulted in the on-going Afin/Ese, Ogbagi, Oke Irun and Odo Irun roads.

In a bid to phase out old structures from some secondarys schools and make the environment attractive and conducive for learning Hon.Taofik Oladele Mohammed supplied mud blocks worth over Four Hundred Thousand Naira (#400,000.00) to Ahmadiyya Grammar School his almamater, and the lawmaker has equally promised to do more.

He equally supported Christ Apostolic Church (C.A.C) with blocks worth over One Hundred Thousand Naira (100,000.00) for fencing.

He also gave prizes to best students In some selected secondary Schools during the last session end of the year calendar.

In a bid to ensure that members of his contituency have access to potable and drinkable water, he involved experts to make assessments of where boreholes/well water can be be sunk/dug , this has been done accros the four Wards of the constituency and even In some areas the boreholes/provision of well water supply has been completed.

The lawmaker has consistently donated series of palliative to his constituents during this period of covid 19 and testimonies abound about his philanthropic gestures

A whole lots of arrangements have been done and completed by the lawmaker to empower his constituents .The kind of empowerment that would stand the test of time, which would include the youths and women of party faithfuls and loyalist of the All progressive Congress (A.P.C) within his constituency to add value to their social well being.

As part of empowerment programme there would be free medical support to everybody in the constituency, the lawmaker said.
