Ondo Assembly Decried the Deplorable State of Road Infrastructure In Ondo State
The Ondo State House of Assembly, has once again decried the deplorable state of road Infrastructure within the state. Rising from the parliamentary meeting held on tuesday 12th September2023, the members and leadership of the House described the situation of federal roads in the state as an eyesore.
Citing Elegbeka-Ifon road, Ipele-Idoani-Abuja road, Akure-Owena-Ondo road, Ado-Akure road which have all being washed away especially, by the recent rainfalls thereby leaving the road in state of complete disrepair. A situation that have left commuters plying the roads in pains and anguish.
The House therefore resolved once again to write a reminder letter to FERMA on the precarious state of these roads. The letter which the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, directed the Clerk of the House to write without any further delay.
The House empathize with residents of Ondo state and the road users over the unfortunate situation of federal roads across the state. Assuring that it’ll leave no stone unturned at getting the attention of relevant agencies of federal government to fix the roads as quick as possible.
The House urge residents and road users in the state to be patient and law abiding while solution is being pursued towards ameliorating the pains associated with the use of the roads.
