Ondo 2024: Olanrewaju Olaide Becomes Babatunde Alli’s Running Mate as PRP promises to Turn things Around
A reputable farmer and Entrepreneur, Olanrewaju Olaide has emerged the Peoples Redemption Party Deputy Governorship candidate. This was made known by the Flag bearer of the Party Comrade Babatunde Alli during a press briefing at the Party Secretariat in Akure.
Meanwhile , the Governorship Candidate, Comrade Babatunde Francis Alli has promised to be a Chief Servant of the State if he wins the November 16th Governorship election as he is set to form a transparent Government where the electorate will be inclusive in the scheme of things.
Comrade Ali said he decided to pick Olanrewaju Adewole from the central senatorial district of the State based on the existing zoning program as well as his antecedents as a successful entrepreneur.
He however describes PRP as the best alternative ready to serve the people and be held accountable for all its actions and inactions as he assures that he would be working with a team that is genuinely ready to transform the State from where it is at the moment.
On the issue of Local Government Autonomy that is currently generating controversies between the Federal Government and the State, Alli promises to give it top priority.
“We will create 204 Community Development Association (CDA)in each ward. We believe that LG autonomy is the best platform to groom the right leaders”, he said. He said further that he saw no reason why the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Ayedatiwa hasn’t done the needful as far as the Local Government Autonomy implementation is concerned.
Meanwhile, earlier before then, the Deputy Governorship hopeful , Olanrewaju Adewole has promised never to waste the opportunity given to him by working in synergy with his principal to bring about the needed change.
In attendance at the meeting were the stakeholders of the party all over the State especially the women.
