Movement for Good Governance and Ethical Leadership Inaugurates Ondo Structure, Drums Support for Aiyedatiwa

New state officers for the Movement for Good Governance and Ethical Leadership (MGGEL), Ondo State chapter, were inaugurated on Saturday, June 29th, 2024, at a grand event held in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

The Convener and Director General of the group, Hon. H. K. Bello, stated that the group was formed in 2006 by men and women who desired good governance and ethical leadership. Over the years, MGGEL has become one of the most vibrant and largest support groups in Nigeria. Bello emphasized that the event was historic as it provided a platform for members to work as an independent campaign team for Aiyedatiwa/Adelami 2024. He expressed optimism that the Aiyedatiwa/Adelami ticket would lead to a greater Ondo State, calling it a divine project orchestrated by God.

Hon. Ayodele Olawande, State Minister for Youths, who was ably represented extended congratulations to the new state executives and charged them to work diligently to achieve their goals. He commended Hon. Bello for his dedicated efforts in striving for good governance in Ondo State and promised all necessary support to help the party win the next governorship election.

Hon. Smart Omodunbi, Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor on Political Matters, represented by Hon. Gbenga Afolabi, also commended Hon. Bello and MGGEL, emphasizing the importance of collective effort to secure massive votes for Mr. Governor during the November governorship election. Additionally, Hon. ‘Laolu Akindolire, State Commissioner for Education, Science & Technology, and former ALGON Chairman, Hon. Augustine Oloruntogbe, conveyed their goodwill messages and commitment to the project.

The highlight of the event was the inauguration of the new state executives, led by Prince Oluwatuyi Korede as chairman. The event also featured the unveiling of the campaign strategy for Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the governorship candidate, and the presentation of awards of excellence to distinguished Nigerians, including Hon. H. K. Bello and Hon. Ayodele Olawande.

After his inauguration, the new state chairman, Prince Oluwatuyi, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and promised to work towards achieving the group’s goals while adding value to MGGEL.
