ITESIWAJU MOVEMENT UNVEILS APC CANDIDATES, MOBILIZES FOR LANDSLIDE VICTORY IN AKINYELE AHEAD OF 2027
The Honey B Mini Hall in Tose-Moniya, Ward 5, came alive yesterday as hundreds of members of the APC Itesiwaju Movement gathered for the official unveiling of the party’s candidates for the 2027 general elections.
The event, held under the leadership of Alhaji Mukaila Abiola Ambali, brought together party faithful from across Akinyele Local Government to declare support for the APC flag bearers and to set the tone for grassroots mobilization in the months ahead.
Among the candidates unveiled were President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is seeking re-election for a second term, Distinguished Senator Yunus Akintunde representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, and Hon. Wasiu Olafisoye Akinmoyede representing Akinyele-Lagelu Federal Constituency. Both lawmakers are also seeking re-election to the Senate and House of Representatives respectively.
The Movement also presented its Oyo State candidates. Barrister Abiodun Sharafadeen Alli was unveiled as the party’s governorship candidate, while Hon. Gbenga Ajao and Hon. Owoade Babatunde Abdul Jeleel were presented as candidates for Oyo State House of Assembly Constituency 1 and Constituency 2.
Delivering the opening remarks on behalf of the leader, Chairman of the Movement, Hon. Ayobami Akinpade, charged members to go back to their wards and communities with renewed energy. He said the Itesiwaju Movement is fully prepared to work with all stakeholders in Akinyele to ensure total victory for all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
According to him, the task ahead is clear and the Movement will not leave anything to chance. He emphasized the need for unity, early mobilization, and door-to-door engagement to consolidate the party’s support base.
The gathering had in attendance key leaders of the Itesiwaju Movement in Akinyele. They included the Vice Chairman, Elder Gabriel Olasunkanmi Akinyele, Director of Publicity, Prof. Femi Jubreel, Chief Emmanuel Akano, Alhaji Lasisi Gbolagade, Mrs Tairat Olanipekun, and Tiamiyu Muideen Adisa, popularly known as Kokoro.
The event was proudly supported by Prof. Femi Jubreel and Chief Erelu Olayinka Jayeobe.
Speaking at the end of the unveiling, leaders of the Movement said this was only the beginning. Similar unveiling and sensitization events will hold across the 12 wards of Akinyele Local Government in the coming weeks as the group intensifies its push for the 2027 polls.
With chants of solidarity and renewed commitment, members left the hall with one message: Itesiwaju Movement is ready, and Akinyele will deliver for the APC.
