Chief Mrs. Mojisola Ifetola Lawal, a respected educationist and accomplished administrator, is set to be honoured by D’Chronicle Media Ventures at the 2026 Fizzy Lecture and Award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to educational growth and leadership.

The event, themed “Southwest Security Synergy: Amotekun’s Role in Regional Stability and Development,” is scheduled to hold on February 22, 2026, at the OSDPC Event Hall, Ijapo Estate, Akure, by 2pm. The lecture will feature Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, Commandant of the Amotekun Corps, Ondo State, as Guest Speaker, while Hon. Dayo Awude, former Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, will serve as Chairman of the occasion.

The programme will also welcome Hon. Otunba Timehin Adelegbe, MHR representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency, as Guest of Honour, alongside the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. (Dr.) Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, who will attend as Special Guest of Honour.

Chief Mrs. Lawal has built a remarkable career defined by dedication, resilience, and visionary leadership within the education sector. She previously served for over 15 years at Adekunle Ajasin University, rising to the position of Assistant Chief Executive Officer before transitioning into the management of educational institutions and business ventures.

Following the passing of her husband, Sir Chief James Olatunbosun Lawal, she assumed leadership as the Chief Executive Officer of Greater Tomorrow International Schools and currently serves as the Principal of Greater Tomorrow International Boarding College, Arigidi. Under her stewardship, the institution has recorded significant progress, promoting academic excellence, student empowerment, and a supportive learning environment.


Her leadership brought national recognition to the school when it was adjudged the Best Senior Private Secondary School in Nigeria in 2021 by the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja — a testament to her commitment to quality education and institutional development.

In acknowledgement of her enduring impact and role in shaping future generations, Chief Mrs. Mojisola Ifetola Lawal will receive the Role Model in Education Development Award, celebrating her as a beacon of inspiration and a transformative force in Nigeria’s education landscape.
