APC Primary Tension Rises as Olumuyiwa Adu Rejects Election Outcome
Ondo Central Senatorial aspirant and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Olumuyiwa Adu, has rejected the outcome of the party’s recent primary election, describing the result as unacceptable and inconsistent with the wishes of party members.

Adu expressed strong dissatisfaction over the conduct of the exercise, insisting that the outcome did not reflect the true voting pattern across the senatorial district.
He called on the leadership of the APC to urgently intervene and address what he described as irregularities and electoral anomalies recorded during the primary process.
According to him, protecting internal democracy within the party is essential to maintaining unity, fairness, and the confidence of loyal party supporters.
Despite his objections to the result, Adu praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for efforts aimed at correcting perceived irregularities and strengthening transparency within the party.
He maintained that his protest was not intended to create division but to ensure justice, credibility, and due process within the APC.
The development has continued to generate reactions among party members and political observers in Ondo State as attention shifts to how the party leadership may handle the growing concerns surrounding the primary election.
