In recognition of their laudable contributions to the society, the Management of the Chronicle Magazine is set to honour some outstanding sons and daughters of Ekiti State who have carve a niche for themselves in their various field of endeavors.
The Maiden Edition of the program tagged ”Ekiti Achievers Award” will come up on the 28th of November, 2021 under the Chairmanship of Chief Ajayi Julius Adegoke, the CEO of Little By Little Photo of which His Excellency, Dr Kayode Fayemi will be the Special Guest of Honour.
In a Press Statement released, the organiser of the event and the Publisher of the Chronicle Magazine, Mr Olaseeni Oyesusi stated that, the need to encourage and appreciate the laudable contributions of the lucky Awardees in developing Ekiti State necessitates the honour.
He stated further that, each and everyone of the celebrants were painstakingly nominated, shortlisted, screened and rescreened based on their great achievements that need to be encouraged in form of celebration, saying it was purely on merit.
The programme will feature Lecture, Award presentation and launching of a Special Publication by the Awardees and invited Guests. During the program, various categories of Awards will be conferred on eminent Ekiti State indigenes.
Meanwhile, the forthcoming Ekiti Governorship Election where vote buying and selling is fast becoming an integral part of election process in Nigeria necessitates the theme of the Program which is “Emergence of Vote Buying in Nigeria Polity; Implication and Panacea will be delivered by Ola Olalere Alaba JP, Presiding Pastor, Graceland Ministry, Akure who also doubles as an Awardee at the event.
However, the Special Guest of honours are Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele (MOB) representing Ekiti Central SenatorialDistrict and Hon. Funminiyi Afuye, Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly while the Royal Father of the Day is the Royal Majesty, Oba Rufus Adejugbe, the Ewi of Ado- Ekiti.
The Award recipients are a Business Mogul and the CEO of Kadyet Nig Ltd, Mr. Akinlayo Kolawole, a very popular APC Governorship Aspirant in Ekiti State, Ademola Popoola, EKHA Member representing Ise/Orun at the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon Ayodeji Ajayi, a United Kingdom based and the initiator of Opeyemi Foundation, Opeyemi David Falegan, Oba Ganiyu Obasoyin, Olukere of Odo Oja Ikere Ekiti.
Others include Prince Michael Ogungbemi. Secretary Ikole Local Government and Chairmanship Aspirant, Ajoni LCDA, Ekiti State, Barrister (Comrade) Kola Olaiya Special Assistant to Ekiti State Governor on Labour Matters, Dr. Ojo Akinlade popularly known as Erugale, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Abeleje aka Yeyeoge, Prophet Tope Oluwaseun and Pastor O Favour.
