Amotekun Arrests Escaped Robbery Suspect in Osogbo
The Osun State Amotekun Corps has apprehended 26-year-old John Uba, a serial offender who previously escaped from police custody during a robbery case in Osogbo.
Corps Commandant Adekunle Omoyele disclosed that Uba was arrested around midnight on Thursday after a distress call from residents of the Fiwasaye area reported an ongoing robbery.
Upon his arrest, the suspect was found with stolen phones and other valuables. Further investigation revealed that Uba had earlier escaped from the Ota-Efun Police Division, where he was being held for a previous crime.
Uba also confessed to being a repeat offender. He has since been handed over to the Ota-Efun Police Division for continued investigation and prosecution.
