Aketi’s Victory; Oladunni Odu, a committed Factor

Few days before the October 10th gubernatorial election in Ondo State, Idepe born politician and Chairman State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in Ondo State, Princess (Barr.) Oladunni Odu had feted members of her constituency at his palatial country home of Idepe-Okitipupa in Ondo South Senatorial district.
While conferring with them, Princess Odu charged them to all go out and vote for continuity in the Governorship election, where their votes will be count.
Princess Odu distributed cash palliatives to the people in their hundreds who had visited her to seek his wise opinion on the way forward as regards the Ondo Guber poll.
In her remarks to the huge voters from the two wards making up Okitipupa, Odu said Arakunrin Odunayo Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is the right choice of candidate for the people of Ondo State and she has no doubt in her mind that Akeredolu’s victory at the polls was going to be a landslide victory.
Charging the people of Okitipupa to join the victory ride, she implored them to use their votes to support Gov. Akeredolu’s second term bid.
Meanwhile, just as she has appealed to the people, the electorates from Okitipupa were able to vote for Arakunrin Rotimi Akerrdolu.
The Governor has since collected his certificate of return.
However, it is worthy of note to shed more lights on the activities of SUBEB Chair to make sure that Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu becomes the Governor for the second term.
It would be recalled that In order to cushion covid 19 pandemic lockdown in Ondo State especially in Ikale land, the Chairman State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in Ondo State, Princess Oladunni Odu rolled out palliatives for the people of Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state.
Also, to reinforce the efforts of the Governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akerrdolu in the are of palliatives to the vulnerable citizens across the eighteen Local Government Areas of the State. Princess Oladunni Odu added five thousand naira (N5,000) each while disbursing that of Okitipupa Local Government.
According to the statement made available to press by her Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mike Kuwoye, Princess Odu while giving out the monetary palliative said, a time as this is a time to give out to vulnerable people in the community.
Princess Odu who is one of the leaders who supervised the disbursement of the state palliative materials in Okitipupa Local Government added the monetary palliative to the vulnerable in the constituency II of Okitipupa Local Government.
Among those who benefitted from the palliatives were people with special need, octogenarians and less privileged. One of the beneficiaries, Mr. Betiku Michael appreciated the state government and Princess Oladunni Odu for the gesture.
Princess Oladunni Odu also advised individuals whom God has blessed to reach out to the poor in their various community at this critical period and added that government can not do it alone.
Notwithstanding, in another development to
cushion the effects of COVID-19 pandemic on the people, Princess Oladunni Odu also empowered and employed some people in Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state.
Odu, who gave foodstuffs and cash palliatives to alleviate the hardship on the people recently due to lockdown as a result of Corvid-19 then did the empowerment in her country home, Okitipupa Local Government Area, Ondo State.
According to the statement made available to the press by her Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mike Kuwoye, she said, Odu donated a Qlink motorcycle to one Mr. Isaiah Eyofoniko in Okitipupa.
She said she donated the motorcycle to Eyofoniko to ease his long time hardship due to lack of job. She therefore advised him to use it with care, ride with caution and observe all traffic rules.
The beneficiary, Eyofoniko, an Irhobo man living in Okitipupa, received the motorcycle with enthusiasm and appreciated Princess Oladunni Odu for the kind gesture.
He prayed to God to prosper her endeavours and wished her blessings in her dealings.
Meanwhile, the soft spoken SUBEB Boss in Ondo State has appreciated God Almighty and the people of the State especially her kinsmen from Okitipupa Local Government over the resounding victory of Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and Deputy Governor-Elect Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa at her Okitipupa residence on Sunday October 11, saying the victory was a renewed mandate for progress and development.
The highlight of the colourful celebration was the presentation of a sowing machine to one Oluwafemi Akindele.
A Quilink Motorcycle was also given to one apprentice called Olusegun.
Moreso, a Barbing Tools comprising of 2 Clippers, 2 Standing Mirrors, Chairs and Power Generator were also gifted to one Wande Akindele.
Princess Odu saluted Okitipupa Local Government APC under the leadership of Pastor Femi Agagu and other Party members.
In her words, “APC’S victory in Okitipupa Local Government is very historic and heartwarming as I thank everyone particularly our leader, the honourable Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, Pastor Femi Agagu and the good people of this Local Government for a great job” , she said.
She further enjoined beneficiaries of her empowerment to make proper use of whatever that was given to them for the benefits of their household.
