AINPN Honours Dr. Adeniyi Ayodeji Ijogun with Community Development and Humanitarian Icon Award
Every year, the Association of Independent Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (AINPN) sets aside its annual week to celebrate individuals whose work strengthens communities and uplifts society. This year, among the distinguished honourees is a man whose life of service, leadership, and professional excellence continues to leave footprints across Nigeria — Dr. Adeniyi Ayodeji Ijogun.

For AINPN, this recognition is not just an award; it is a public affirmation of decades of integrity, sacrifice, and nation-building. The Ondo State Chapter of the Association describes his nomination as “an enduring testimony of his unequalled contributions to the development of his country home and Ondo State in general.”
Born to the family of late Chief Ezekiel Adeiya Ijogun and Princess Chief (Mrs.) Esther Olayoonu Ijogun of Igbara-Oke, Dr. Ijogun has risen to become one of Nigeria’s most respected professionals in Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering Management, and public service. His academic journey from Yaba College of Technology to two master’s degrees, a specialized diploma in Real Property Law, and a doctorate from the University of Berkley, Michigan reflects a mind constantly seeking knowledge and excellence.
A fellow of multiple professional bodies, from the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (FNIQS) to the Society of Construction Industry Arbitrators (FSCIarb), Dr. Ijogun is widely regarded as a national resource in construction economics, arbitration, and project management. His firm, Billing Cost Associates, has spent nearly 30 years providing top-tier Quantity Surveying and Project Management services across Nigeria and beyond.
His service to Nigeria extends far beyond the construction industry. As a government appointee, Dr. Ijogun served on the Board of the Quantity Surveying Registration Board of Nigeria (QSRBN) and on the prestigious Board of the Nigerian Hydrological Services Agency, where he chaired the committee responsible for flood prediction, statutory functions, and technical monitoring across the country. He has also served the nation through the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as a consultant, leading forensic investigations and contract audits across the Niger Delta and northern regions.
Across his illustrious career, he has delivered landmark lectures, authored technical publications, and mentored professionals in the built environment. His commitment to youth development, faith-based service, and community growth has earned him numerous honours — from the African Leader of Integrity Merit Award to recognitions from NANS, News in Africa, the Universal Peace Federation, and international business bodies in Houston, Texas.
AINPN highlights not only his national impact but also his unwavering dedication to his roots. His philanthropy and support for Ondo State communities stand tall, just like his notable role in building the first storey building in Oyemekun Grammar School, Akure — a legacy his alma mater will forever remember.
This year’s ceremony will feature other distinguished honourees, including Dr. (Mrs.) Damilola Oshin, Founder of Mummy’s Place; Hon. Timehin Adelegbe, Member representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency; Comrade Bola Taiwo, Special Adviser to the Governor of Ondo State on Union Matters; Comrade Ademola Odudu, NURTW State Chairman; renowned philanthropist and politician Hon. Balarabe Abiodun Akinwumi; and the respected Olori Abimbola Aladetoyinbo, Eyesorun of Akure Kingdom, among others whose influence continues to shape society at various levels.
The Association notes that Dr. Ijogun’s award is “a reflection of the public’s pleasant estimation of his personality” and a tribute to his generosity, reliability, and leadership in community and human development.
Dr. Ijogun will receive the Community Development & Humanitarian Icon Award at the AINPN Lecture and Award Ceremony scheduled for December 14th, 2025, at the NMA Hall, Igbatoro Road, Akure.
The anniversary theme, “The Rise of One-Party Dominance in Nigeria: Implications for Democracy & 2027 General Election,” will be delivered by Dr. Thomas Wilson-Ikubese, former presidential aspirant.
From professional excellence to humanitarian service, and from national assignments to grassroots development, Dr. Adeniyi Ayodeji Ijogun embodies the spirit of leadership AINPN seeks to honour — a man whose life continues to strengthen institutions, empower communities, and inspire generations.
