AINPN Condemns Media Attack on BTO, Says Minister Deserves Accolades, Not Condemnation
The Association of Independent Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (AINPN) has condemned the media attack on the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, stating that the Ondo State-born politician deserves accolades, not condemnation.

In a press release signed by its President, Olaseeni Oyesusi, and Secretary, Dupson Collins, the association said the Ministry of Interior under Dr. Tunji-Ojo has experienced a total transformation in policy formulation and implementation.
“Rather than praising the giant strides recorded under the leadership of Dr. Tunji-Ojo at the Ministry of Interior, some faceless groups and individuals are castigating him with narratives of certificate forgery,” the statement read.
“Whereas, the Nigeria Police and WAEC have dismissed the allegations of certificates forgery against the Minister, yet these sponsored elements, at the slightest provocation, politicize the situation to malign his integrity.”
On its part, AINPN declared support for the Honourable Minister in his continued service to the nation. “We are publishers. We shall not allow any unverified information or news items to be published on our news platforms.”
“BTO, as he is fondly called, is one of the best ministers under President Tinubu’s administration and a proud son of Ondo State. We must join hands to promote and support all he stands for”.
