Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has signed a new contract that will keep him at the Premier League club until June 2030, the club has confirmed.

The new agreement further strengthens Arteta’s long-term commitment to Arsenal and brings an end to weeks of speculation surrounding his future at the Emirates Stadium.

Reports had indicated that both parties were close to reaching an agreement before the deal was officially confirmed.

Arteta’s key members of staff will also continue in their respective roles under the new arrangement, providing further stability and continuity within the club’s coaching structure.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development in a post on X on Wednesday, stating that Arteta had signed a new deal with Arsenal running until June 2030.

The Spanish tactician has played a major role in Arsenal’s development since taking charge of the club. Under his leadership, the Gunners have developed into regular contenders near the top of the Premier League and have continued to challenge for major domestic and European honours.

One of Arteta’s early achievements at Arsenal was guiding the club to victory in the FA Cup in 2020.

He has also overseen Arsenal’s return to the UEFA Champions League, while gradually rebuilding the squad with a mixture of young talents and experienced players.

The new contract gives Arteta the opportunity to continue his long-term project at the club and further develop a team capable of competing consistently for the Premier League title and other major trophies.

With his future now secured until 2030, Arteta and his coaching staff are expected to remain focused on taking Arsenal to the next level and ending the club’s wait for further major honours.

The contract extension also provides Arsenal with greater managerial stability as the club continues its pursuit of success both domestically and in European competitions.
