D Chronicle Honors Funsho Joseph Olasheni at 13th Anniversary for Leadership, Integrity and Commitment to National Progress

As D Chronicle Media Ventures marks 13 years of impactful journalism, the organization will honor Funsho Joseph Olasheni, a disciplined and purpose-driven Nigerian businessman from Oka Akoko, Ondo State, for his outstanding commitment to service, leadership, and community development.
The award presentation will take place during the 13th Anniversary Lecture and Awards Ceremony scheduled for Sunday, 30th August, 2026 at 2:00 PM prompt. Venue is the OSDPC Multipurpose Event Hall, Ijapo Estate, Akure, Ondo State.
This year’s theme is “Agenda 2027: Leadership, Accountability, Progress”. Former Ondo State Commissioner for Youth, Hon. Dayo Awude, will deliver the Guest Lecture as security leaders, policymakers, and thought leaders converge to interrogate the role of accountable leadership in driving sustainable progress ahead of 2027.
Funsho Joseph Olasheni is defined by integrity, resilience, and a deep commitment to service. Loyal to Nigeria, he carries a strong sense of responsibility and leadership, and consistently strives for excellence in every role undertaken. His vision is centered on progress, particularly in contributing meaningfully to Nigeria’s development. He leads with courage, acts with honesty, and remains grounded in values that promote unity, growth, and community upliftment.
He began his academic journey at Mbari Mbayo Nursery and Primary School, Jibowu, Yaba, Lagos State, in 1997. He later attended Government College, Ikorodu, graduating in 2003. He obtained a BSc (Ed) in Computer Science from Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State in 2009. He furthered his studies at Griffith University, Queensland, Australia, where he earned a Master of Information Systems and Information Technology Management in 2016.
As a dedicated Nigerian businessman, Funsho Joseph Olasheni continues to exemplify the ideals of hard work, accountability, and nation building. Through his conduct and contributions, he represents a generation of Nigerians who believe that progress comes from service, discipline, and putting community first.
