I Won’t Slow Down in Developing Nigeria — Tinubu Assures Nigerians
President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, assuring Nigerians that the Federal Government will not relent in its efforts to transform the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and other parts of the country.

The President, represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, gave the assurance on Wednesday during the commissioning of the rehabilitated Old Keffi Road linking Kado Fish Market to Deidei in Abuja.
Tinubu said the road project would improve economic activities by reducing travel time, lowering transportation costs and facilitating the movement of people and goods.
“We have cut travel time, we have cut the cost for residents. Goods will now move faster, markets will breathe, and workers will get to their destinations and jobs with less stress. I dare say that prosperity will increase for the people of this environment,” he said.
The President also commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for the “Light Up Abuja” initiative, describing it as a practical demonstration of the dividends of democracy.
According to him, the installation of street lights has improved security, made night-time movement safer and created opportunities for businesses to operate beyond sunset.
Tinubu called on residents, community leaders and traditional rulers to protect public infrastructure by preventing vandalism, keeping drainage systems free of refuse and promptly reporting any damage to the appropriate authorities.
Reaffirming his administration’s determination to sustain development across the country, the President said the government remained focused on delivering infrastructure projects that promote inclusion, safety and economic growth.
“We are not slowing down across the FCT. From the city centre to the area councils, we are building for inclusion, for safety and for growth. Every district deserves access, and every citizen deserves to feel the impact of my administration wherever they live,” he said.
Tinubu also appealed to Nigerians to support the government’s efforts toward national development.
“Let us join hands for good. Let us join hands for development, and together we can build a Nigeria of our dreams,” the President added.
