“No More Abandoned Projects”: Tinubu Reaffirms Commitment to Inclusive Development

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared an end to the era of unfulfilled promises and abandoned projects, emphasizing his administration’s unwavering commitment to inclusive and impactful development across Nigeria.

Speaking through Vice President Kashim Shettima during the commissioning of the rehabilitated Aguma Palace–Radio Nigeria–New Market Road in Gwagwalada, FCT, Tinubu stated:

“The days of empty promises and abandoned projects are behind us. We are not just building infrastructure; we are building confidence in governance.”

He described the newly rehabilitated road as a symbol of inclusive growth, noting that it represents more than a physical project.

“It is a corridor of dignity for market women, a path to safety for school children, and a road to prosperity for the hard-working trader,” the President remarked.

President Tinubu commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for his transformational leadership and sense of urgency.

“I thank him for proving that disruption is not a threat to order but a requirement for progress,” he said.

Reflecting on the historical neglect of communities outside Abuja’s city centre, the President emphasized a new vision of inclusion.

“For too long, these communities have watched their dreams of inclusion delayed by excuses and their hopes depart by shifting priorities. But we are here to rewrite that history.”

He affirmed that the project is a testament to his administration’s people-focused agenda.

“What brings us together on this historic day is more than a road. It is a reminder that no community under this administration is too far to be seen and nobody is too far to be heard.”

Concluding, Tinubu highlighted the symbolic and strategic value of the road:

“We are not just rehabilitating roads; we are rehabilitating trust. The newly rehabilitated Aguma Palace–Radio Nigeria–New Market Road is a lifeline to the communities it connects.”
