For instance, at the Ondo Central Youth Summit held in Akure organized by the Ondo State Youth Network (OSYN), centered on the theme “Redefining Leadership: Our Project for a Better Tomorrow” he was the cynosure of all eyes. The event which recently drew notable dignitaries, including the minority leader of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Jide Oguntodu from Akure South, Barr. Jimi Oluseye, the PDP State Secretary who was also a keynote speaker, and many others.
During the summit, OBA pledged his unwavering support for the development of Ondo State’s youth, recognizing their potential as catalysts for positive change. He assured the attendees that, if elected as the next Governor, he would prioritize quality leadership and good governance, with a particular focus on empowering the youth.
OBA’s participation in the Ondo Central Youth Summit and his pledges for quality leadership and youth development have resonated deeply with the attendees, reinforcing his position as a gubernatorial aspirant dedicated to fostering a brighter tomorrow for Ondo State.
In the same vein, the influential Opomulero group of the PDP has thrown its weight behind Otunba Bamidele Akingboye’s aspiration for the Ondo State Governorship.
With a strong presence across all 18 Local Government Areas, the group boasts a large and dedicated membership base.
In his address at the meeting Mr. Olasupo Olasunori, the group’s Director General said “We are fully committed to supporting OBA’s vision and policies,”
“This endorsement signifies our unity and solidarity within the PDP ranks.”
The group’s endorsement is a significant development in Ondo’s political landscape.
“Together, we will work tirelessly to ensure OBA’s victory and bring about positive change for the people of Ondo State,” Olasunori affirmed, underscoring the group’s determination to rally support for OBA’s bid”. He said.
Morealso, in a similar development, the Eyi-Babes Women’s Group have officially collapsed their structure to realign themselves behind Otunba Bamidele Akingboye’s (OBA) campaign. Emerging as the newly christened OBA-Babes, they pledged their unwavering support at a gathering held at his residence.
The meeting served as a unifying moment, with OBA graciously seeking their backing in the forthcoming election. The OBA-Babes wholeheartedly vowed to stand behind his vision.
Strengthening their bond, OBA awarded a full scholarship to young Eri Falokun, son of an OBA-Babe member. This gesture underscored his commitment to uplifting the community’s youth.
“The structural collapse symbolized the group’s shift in focus to propel OBA toward electoral success,” a spokesperson stated. “Their rebirth as the OBA-Babes cements an alliance poised to make a profound impact.”
As the Eyi-Babes underwent this transformative transition, a wave of unity swept through, paving the way for Otunba Bamidele Akingboye’s ascent amid a groundswell of support from the influential women’s coalition. It would be recalled that Eyi Babes was established during the electioneering period of the erstwhile candidate of the PDP, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede SAN.
Also, the National Association of Nigerian students (NANS), has declared unalloyed
support for Otunba Bamidele Akingboye Governorship aspiration from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, ahead of the Governorship election slated to hold on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
The Zone D, Southwest coordinator of NANS, Comrade Alao John, disclosed this to newsmen at the PDP Secretariat in Akure, the State capital.
He said over 15 million students under the zone have unanimously agreed to support one of the major candidates, Otunba Bamidele Akingboye(OBA).
The student leader described Otunba Akingboye as a visionary leader who is prepared and ready to take the State to the next level.
The students leadership also called on the leadership of the peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State to align with Akingboye who is ready to work in the interest of the youths and the people of the State ahead of the Governorship election.
Comrade Alao said, “our leaders have been giving opportunities of leading the State to people who do not have the interest of the State at heart, people who do not understand the problem of the youths and the citizens.
“But this time around, we have found a perfect candidate, who has a vision for the people of Ondo State, a person who’s passion is to serve the people, a man of integrity who is prepared and ready to tackle all the problems facing the State, and there is no any other person than Otunba Bamidele Akingboye. He is a man who can provide solutions to all the numerous problems confronting the citizens of Ondo State”.
“This is why we declared our unalloyed support for him after consultation with over 15 million students across the Southwest States,” he added.
Meanwhile, to say that Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA), the leading gubernatorial aspirant for the Ondo State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and renowned Nigerian businessman and entrepreneur is in a hurry to industrialize the State is an understatement as he recently met with leaders of a Chinese business consortium in his bid to advertise possibilities and opportunities for new businesses in Ondo State.
The meeting with Messers Jason Zhu and Roland Guan, influential Chinese investors, centred on Akimgboye’s vision to transform Ondo State into a thriving polity through the proposed Ondo State Mega City project.

In as much as Ondo 2024 Guber poll remains a topic, and her breakthrough from the current economic woe cum underutilization of her natural and human resources; obviously, OBA remains the long awaited Messiah to bring good tidings to the table.
However, if loyalty, steadfastness, competency, financial capability, acceptability, accessibility and consistency are to be considered in selecting the PDP flag bearer in the forth coming Governorship election in Ondo State, there may not be a better Aspirant in that direction. For about 2 decades, OBA has been consistently consistent. He has remained in the party despite numerous glaring odds. Without being immodest, we have Aspirants that defected from the party immediately they lost the primaries in the last election only to return to the party when hope of becoming the Governor was obviously lost.
In fact, we have another Aspirant that went to pitch tent with a parallel Exco in the same PDP and contested the election but lost worefully only to return when another election was gathering momentum.
Without being immodest, OBA is tested and trusted as far as political activities are concerned. On this note, it is an understatement to say that the best candidate of the PDP in the November 16th Governorship election in Ondo State is Otunba Benson Bamidele Akingboye also known as OBA.
