Akoko South West Constituency 1 APC Elders reaffirm commitment to Akeredolu led Administration
The Akoko South West Constituency 1 APC Elders after a meeting recently with the Lawmaker representing the Constituency, Hon. Olugbenga Omole were led to the official residence of the Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, RT. Hon.David Bamidele Oleyelogun to reaffirm their commitment and support for the Akeredolu led Government.
The Leader of the delegation Elder Kolawole Ogungbe stated that they have been energized by the Member representing the Constituency Hon. Olugbenga Omole who they described as God sent to Oka for his unprecedented performance since he was sworn in June.
One after the other the Elders confirmed that they have made up their mind to work for the reelection of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN come 2020.They also thank Mr Speaker for the quality Leadership he has shown and his support for the Governor of Ondo State as clearly shown in the various developmental projects executed by the Ondo State Government.
The Speaker appreciated them for finding time to visit him. He stated the quality of the people that made up the Elder group are people that any politician will desire in his camp.
“I can see before me retired School Principals,Community Leaders,opinion leaders, business men and women”. He said.
Mr Speaker thanked them for their support for their Son Hon. Omole whom he described as an important and very resourceful member of the the 9th Assembly.
In his words “you did not make a mistake for voting for him. He has shown in the few weeks we worked together as a loyal and committed confidant. I want to assure you that with him you will receive the reward of your support for our Party. Our Government is a government that takes the welfare of the elderly as a priority”.
More so, they also held a meeting with the State Chairman of APC in Ondo State Engr. Ade Adetimehin who assured them of the commitment of the Akeredolu led Administration to the general well being of the citizens of the State. The State Chairman said he was highly elated to receive them and promised them that all their requests will be tabled before the Governor and assured them that they will get positive response. He said he is aware of their challenges and that of their community saying that the Party is aware of the roles they played in ensuring the Party became victorious in the last election in their Constituency and thanked them for the trust and they have in their son whom they described as a forthright and dependable politician in whom they were pleased.
Other Members of the Elders Group that made the trip were Elder Deacon Bello Afolabi who is the Secretary, Pa Adeyemi Olaleye, Pa Garuba Ajayi, Alhaji Aliu Olubola Oseni, Chief(Mrs)Abigail Alonge, Pa Jimoh Oseni, Mrs Theresa Lawal, Elder Ologuanye Solomon Ola and Mrs Emidun Kemi.
