Ondo Majority Leader Ogunmolasuyi becomes New SLRIC Chairman

Ondo State House of Assembly Majority leader, Hon Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi has been sworn in as the new Chairman, South West Legislative Reform Implementation Committee (SLRIC).
He was sworn in along other executives at the inaugural meeting of the 10th Assembly for Majority Leaders in the region held in Akure.
They are to pilot the affairs of the forum for the next four years.
This followed the expiration of the executives of the forum led by the Former Lagos House of Assembly Majority leader, Hon Oyeniran Agunbiade.
Declaring the session open, the Deputy Speaker Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Prince Abayomi Akinruntan who represented the Speaker, Olamide Oladiji welcomed participants to the State and congratulated them for a successful election and inauguration in their various Assemblies.
According to him, it is imperative to take a reflection on the journey on how to create work for the upliftment of Legislative procedures, urging them to ensure that a platform be created for effective service delivery as regards oversight which will enhance the level of legislative Compliance among the Southwest Houses of Assembly
He thanked the Majority Leaders for putting up this forum and committed to it and wished them a successful deliberation.
In his welcome address, the Ondo State House of Assembly Majority leader, Hon Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi said that the gathering was aimed at deliberating on ways to further improve legislative proceeding in the Southwest State Houses of Assembly.
He affirmed that the meeting will continue to serve as a rally point for all Southwest Majority Leaders of the 10th Assembly which are meant to discuss issues affecting various Houses of Assembly and advance ideas that will help all Majority Leaders to stabilize their various Assemblies.
Ogunmolasuyi noted that the acceptance of the State House of Assembly to host this meeting is part of the lined up activities to encourage developmental processes and structures to strengthen South West Legislative Reform implementation Committee.
He posited that the outcome of the inaugural meeting will lay the foundation upon which the 10th Assembly will build on.
In his acceptance speech, he said he was delighted to accept the appointment as the new Chairman of the forum, noting that the honour is not only for him alone but for the entire members of the Ondo State House of Assembly.
He assured that the Forum under his leadership will strive to do better than the past and ensure that all the objectives which it stands for shall be upholded.
