ODSG Presents14 Billion OSOPADEC 2023 Budget

Ondo State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (OSOPADEC) budget 2023 has been committed to Committee stage for scrutiny.
The over 14 billion naira presented by the State Government was committed to Committees on OSOPADEC and finance and appropriation after scaling through the second reading on the floor of the House at a plenary presided over by the Speaker, Rt Hon Bamidele Oleyelogun.
In the budget, over 10 billion naira is for Capita expenditure while 4 billion naira is for recurrent expenditure.
The Speaker in his ruling enjoined the committees to do a proper job on the budget and submit to the house as soon as possible.
Earlier, while debating on the budget, the Lawmakers commended the increase in the budget over the last year which was 11 billion naira, especially the large chunks accrued for the capital expenditure, saying that it will go a long way to fastrack development.
They commended the early presentation of the budget as more social amenities among others in the budget proposal will improve the standard of living of the people of the mandate areas.
