Betty Akeredolu Bemore empowers Girls Foundation

Governor of Ondo State, Arankurin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN has charged the graduands of the 2022 Bemore Summer Boot Camp to be good apostles of the programme in their different spheres of contact and they should go into the world and preach the gospel of bemore and reproduce themselves.
Gov. Akeredolu gave the charge in his address at the Closing Ceremony of Bemore Ondo 2022, holding at the Main Auditorium of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Ondo State, Nigeria.
The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa noted that though the knowledge inculcated in the girls was foundational, they have nevertheless been equipped to build others and excel in life.
The Governor stressed that the education given to the girls during the boot camp is in tandem with the policy of the Ondo State government on human capital development.
He promised that the State government will continue to be in partnership with Bemore Empowered Girls Foundation and other similar organizations towards human capital development in the State.
In an address,Cheif Mrs Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu has said the bemore girls have been deliberately prepared to face the future and have been trained in ICT and solar technology to demystify science and technology, and to put a lie to the age-long prejudice about these fields being the exclusive preserve of the men.
Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu noted that Bemore girls will take home the fact that the ‘future is female’. “Gone are the days you would be made to play the second fiddle role because you are a girl. The world now belongs to both men and women. And in fact, women are making new impressions as opposed”.
Mrs. Akeredolu said, “I have come to celebrate you, my girls, for having passed through rigorous training in the last two weeks and become our new breed of champions. I have come to give you a parting message as we release you to the world again. Need I say how proud I am of you? Yes, I treasure the fact that you have successfully joined the club of the special “breed without greed”. As you go back, the world is waiting to see the difference; to test your capacity, your fitness and your resilience”. She said.
She told the graduands that nothing has the capability to stop them from achieving their dreams, stressing that they could aspire and attain any height they desire.
“I believe in your abilities and that you are all capable of doing great. It is out of this conviction that BEMORE admitted girls with hearing impairment to participate, and they did prove equally capable”
Total of 388 girls took part during the graduation ceremony with Umar Alaba emerging as this year’s valedictorian.
The Chairman of the occasionl Barr.Jimoh Ibrahim noted that BEMORE should be upgraded as an institution so that the human capacity building programme could be sustained.
He, therefore, donated a sum of N10million towards the construction of the institution.
Ibrahim described Mrs. Anyanwu-Akeredolu as a virtuous woman who strived to empower the girl child at any cost.
Meanwhile, in his address, Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora, Minister of Science and Technology, appreciated Mrs. Anyanwu-Akeredolu and the sponsors of the training, saying it’s empowering the beneficiaries for the ongoing industrial revolution.
He described education as the greatest tool of liberation of mind, advising the young girls to improve in their chosen careers.
Present at the event are the State Deputy Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Commissioner for Information, Mrs. Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Otunba Dele Ologun, among other State cabinet members.
