Veteran Educationist, Hon. Awe Kehinde Bernard Toluwa Bags Role Model in Education Development Award
At the forthcoming 2026 Fizzy Lecture and Award Ceremony organized by D Chronicle Media Ventures, themed “Southwest Security Synergy: Amotekun’s Role in Regional Stability and Development,” Hon. Awe Kehinde Bernard Toluwa, a seasoned education administrator and school principal, has been selected to receive the Role Model in Education Development Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to secondary education and institutional development in Ondo State.

The ceremony is scheduled to hold on February 22, 2026, at the OSDPC Event Hall, Ijapo Estate, Akure, by 2:00 p.m. The event will feature Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, Commandant of the Amotekun Corps, Ondo State, as Guest Speaker; Hon. Dayo Awude, Former Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, as Chairman; Hon. Otunba Timehin Adelegbe, MHR (Owo/Ose Federal Constituency) as Guest of Honour; and His Excellency, Hon. (Dr) Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Governor of Ondo State, as Special Guest of Honour.

Hon. Awe Kehinde Bernard Toluwa is widely respected as a dedicated educationist whose career spans decades of service as a teacher, administrator, union leader, and school principal. Rising steadily through the education system, he has served in key leadership positions including Vice Principal, Acting Principal, and substantive Principal, with notable tenures at Community Grammar School, Ifira Akoko, and currently at Isua Community Grammar School, Isua Akoko.
As a school leader, he has distinguished himself through practical reforms focused on academic excellence, infrastructure renewal, staff welfare, student discipline, and community engagement. His leadership has consistently translated into improved academic outcomes, strengthened school administration, enhanced security frameworks, and revitalized alumni and stakeholder participation in school development.
Beyond school management, Hon. Awe Kehinde has played strategic roles in education advocacy and professional coordination, serving as Zonal Chairman of the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS) for Akoko South East and South West Local Government Areas. In this capacity, he has championed collaborative leadership, professional development, and policy engagement among school heads.
His commitment to education development has earned him multiple recognitions, including Best Principal awards at local and state levels, as well as honours for pragmatic leadership within the education sector affirming his reputation as a dependable administrator and mentor to younger professionals.
