UNIMED Sounds Alarm Over Admission Scammers

The University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo State, is urging prospective students and their families to steer clear of fraudulent individuals impersonating its admission officers.

In a recent advisory shared by the university’s Public Relations Officer, Isaac Oluyi, UNIMED emphasized that official admission offers are issued only through its secure university portal—not via websites, SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, email, or through agents.

Applicants are reminded that:

Admission letters are available exclusively on the university’s portal.

No intermediaries, agents, or social media groups are authorized to process admissions.

All admissions are merit-based—never bought.

To reduce the risk of fraud, UNIMED encouraged anyone uncertain about their admission status to verify it directly via the portal or by calling the institution at 0705 121 2222 or 0813 551 3654.

Stay cautious, stay informed, and protect your funds from the schemes of unscrupulous racketeers.
