Tinubu Support Group Honours Aiyedatiwa as Grand Patron, Lauds Developmental Strides
Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has been honoured with an investiture as the Grand Patron of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG), in recognition of his commitment to good governance and unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The investiture, held at the Cocoa Conference Hall, Governor’s Office, Akure, also featured the formal inauguration of the TSG Ondo State executive. The event was attended by political leaders, government officials, and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from across the state.
Speaking at the ceremony, the TSG National Director-General, Alhaji Umaru Tanko Yakassai, commended Aiyedatiwa for his impactful leadership, noting that the governor’s developmental achievements across sectors — particularly in infrastructure, health, education, and youth empowerment — reflect the ideals of President Tinubu’s administration.
“Since my arrival in Akure, I have witnessed remarkable transformation — modern roads, streetlights, and ongoing construction projects. These are signs of a working and visionary leader,” Yakassai said. “Governor Aiyedatiwa has given renewed hope to the youth, women, and elderly through people-centered programmes.”
In his response, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed appreciation for the recognition, describing it as an encouragement to remain steadfast in his efforts to advance development in the state. He reiterated his loyalty to President Tinubu and the APC, assuring continued alignment with the federal government’s policies aimed at improving citizens’ welfare.
“Our administration shares the same vision with President Tinubu — building systems that work for the people and create opportunities for all. We are focused on programmes that promote growth, inclusiveness, and sustainable development,” the governor said.
The ceremony concluded with goodwill messages from dignitaries, including former Minister of State for Transport, Prince Ademola Adegoroye, who described Aiyedatiwa as a “focused and dependable leader” committed to stability and progress in Ondo State.
The TSG leadership reaffirmed its readiness to continue mobilising grassroots support for the APC and President Tinubu’s vision across the country.
