RE: REP AKINGBASO DEMANDS EVIDENCE FROM FORMER REP ADEFISOYE OVER SPURIOUS ALLEGATIONS
The House of Representatives Member, representing Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, Hon Festus Akingbaso has asked former Rep Tajudeen Adeyemi Adefioye to either withdraw a statement written on his Whatsapp page, blackmailing him or provide evidence to that effect.
Having been rejected by the people of Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, Small Alhaji as popularly called has resulted into blackmailing to get public sympathy and attention.
The Former Rep, on Tuesday, 13th January, 2026,in his characteristic manner spuriously alleged that Hon. Festus O. Akingbaso campaigned in a place at Idanre during the gubernatorial election campaign, stating that H.E. Agboola Ajayi was going to die and that he would be sworn in as the Governor.
This statement was written via the status of his WhatsApp contact number *** as viewed around 23:36 hrs. This allegation would have been ignored like the previous ones, but a life of a prominent citizen of the State is involved, hence the need to treat it with the seriousness it needed.
” Due to the weight of this allegation, Messr Tajudeen Adeyemi Adefisoye is hereby demanded to provide irrefutable evidence to validate his claim within the next 48 hours, as failure to do so will be seen as a clear indication of his intention to malign the character of Hon. Festus O. Akingbaso through malicious propaganda, and the full force of law shall be explored as the only alternative”.
“His unprovoked, unguided, and unnecessary lies against the personality of Hon. Festus O. Akingbaso are a constitutional breach and an infringement on his rights and others’ rights in the form of cyber bullying and stalking. As much as social media parlance is unrestricted, civility and common sense should not be sacrificed on the altar of bitter and dirty politicking.”
While awaiting his response within the time frame, we appeal for calm to all the teeming supporters to maintain a quiet demeanor as they go about their business.
Kelvin Babalola,
On behalf of Hon. Festus O. Akingbaso
