Police Nab Suspect for Attacking Okada Rider, Recover Gun and Motorcycle
The Police in Ogun State have arrested a suspect, Matthew Adebisi, for allegedly attacking a commercial motorcyclist and stealing his motorcycle.

The incident occurred in the Sabo area following a distress call from residents in the Sodeke axis.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, the suspect attacked the okada rider at about 10:00 p.m. using a locally made gun, leaving the victim unconscious before fleeing with the motorcycle.
He explained that police operatives swiftly responded to the alert and launched a manhunt, which led to the arrest of the suspect after a chase.
The police also recovered the locally made gun used in the attack, along with the stolen motorcycle.
The injured victim was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta, where he is currently receiving treatment and responding to care.
The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation, while the suspect will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, commended the officers for their prompt response and professionalism.
He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to combating violent crime and ensuring the safety of residents, urging the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.
