Ondo Govt Warns Against Child Molestation, Tasks Mothers on Vigilance

The Ondo State Government has condemned all forms of child molestation and urged mothers to be more vigilant in protecting their children from predators.

The state government noted that rising cases of abuse call for greater alertness from parents and guardians, stressing that mothers, in particular, must pay close attention to the environments where their children live, learn, and play.

It further advised parents to create open lines of communication with their children, encouraging them to speak out when confronted with inappropriate behaviour.

According to the government, preventing abuse requires collective responsibility, but the first line of defence remains within the home. Plans are also underway to strengthen public awareness campaigns, educate communities on early warning signs, and improve coordination with law enforcement agencies to ensure offenders are brought to justice.

The Ondo State Government reaffirmed its commitment to protecting children and called on residents to join hands in creating a safer society where minors can grow without fear of exploitation.
