Four commissioner nominees on Friday faced the Committee of the Whole of the Ondo State House of Assembly, outlining their missions and visions for the state if confirmed.

Dr Oluwaseun Abosede Osamaye, Otunba Adewale Akinlosotu, Ayodele Akande, and Dr Tob Loko were screened by lawmakers in a session described as professional and purposeful.

Dr Osamaye, who currently serves as Special Adviser on Women Affairs, commended the Assembly’s conduct, pledging to deliver on the Governor’s mandate.

“By God’s grace, when confirmed, I will discharge the mandate of our Governor. Everything we do will be to actualise his vision for a better and prosperous Ondo State,” she said.

Ayodele Akande emphasised unity and team collaboration as key to innovation.

“There must be peace and unity. I’ll bring everyone on board to understand the challenges and chart a roadmap to deliver on Mr Governor’s ‘Our Ease’ agenda,” he stated.

Otunba Wale Akinlosotu, appearing for the third time as a commissioner nominee, promised impactful leadership.

“The commissioner makes the ministry. I’ll bring innovation, synergy, and stakeholder engagement to actualise the Governor’s vision. This time, Ondo State will move forward,” he assured.

Dr Tob Loko, formerly of the State Waste Management Board, also praised the Assembly’s professionalism.

“I am prepared and determined to justify the confidence reposed in us. The screening was fair and professional,” he noted.

The screening exercise is expected to conclude next Monday.
