Multi Award Winner, Chief Ogundare to Receive Ose Fireball/Humanitarian Icon Award

Chief Oluwaseyi Gabriel Ogundare (OGO) is set to be honored with the prestigious Ose Fireball/Humanitarian Icon Award on Sunday, August 25, 2024. The accolade, which recognizes exceptional philanthropic efforts and community development contributions, will be presented at the Chronicle Magazine’s 11th Anniversary, Award, and Lecture event.
The award ceremony will be held at OSPDC Ijapo First Gate, Akure, starting at 3 pm. This year’s event will be chaired by Barrister Olumuyiwa Adu, a prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC) and widely known as Cubana.
Chief Ogundare, known for his extensive humanitarian work through The Ogundare’s Foundation, will be celebrated alongside other distinguished individuals from the Ose Local Government area. The Imoru-born politician and traditional titleholder as Aare Gbobaniyi of Upenmen Kingdom and Mayegun of Usoland has garnered multiple awards for his dedication to philanthropy.
The theme for this year’s celebration, “Civil Engagement and Good Governance to Unleash Local Potentials in Ose: Role of Stakeholders,” will be explored by Hon. Ilepe Johnson, former Caretaker Chairman of Ose Local Government. His lecture will offer insights on leveraging stakeholder engagement for effective governance and local development.
HRM Oba Rotimi Obamuwagun Uwade 1, the Olumoru of Imoru is expected to be the Royal Father of the day.
