“I Won’t Go Back, I Need Peace” — Patience Jonathan Speaks on Husband’s Rumored Political Return
Former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, has spoken candidly about speculations surrounding her husband, ex-President Goodluck Jonathan’s possible return to politics.

Speaking on the pressures of leadership, Mrs. Jonathan firmly ruled out any desire to return to the Presidential Villa, emphasizing the heavy toll that governance in Nigeria takes.
Her words:
“If you call me now for the Villa, I won’t go there — don’t you see how young I am? The stress is so much, the stress of Nigeria is so much. If God brings you out of it, you should glorify Him and thank Him for the Lord’s doing, because it’s marvelous in His eyes. He has taken you there once, why do you want to go there again? Me, I won’t go. I need peace.”
Patience Jonathan’s remarks reflect both her personal conviction and a broader commentary on the demanding nature of political leadership in Nigeria.
