Hon. Timehin Adelegbe to Receive Outstanding Political Highflier Award at D Chronicle Media 50/12 Celebration
Preparations are in top gear for the D Chronicle Media 50/12 Celebration, an event marking the 50th birthday of the CEO of D Chronicle Media and the 12th anniversary of the organisation, scheduled to hold on Saturday, 23rd August 2025, at St. Luke Event Center, Akure.
Themed “Accountability and Transparency: Keys to Fulfilling Election Promises in Public Service”, the celebration will bring together leading voices in politics, business, and civil society to honour individuals who have demonstrated distinction, integrity, and impact in their various fields.
One of the highlights of the evening will be the conferment of the Outstanding Political Highflier Award on Hon. (Dr.) Timehin Adelegbe, Vice Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and lawmaker representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency.
Hon. Adelegbe, a seasoned banker, entrepreneur, and politician, has built an impressive career spanning the financial and political sectors. Rising through the ranks in the banking industry before venturing into entrepreneurship, he later transitioned into politics where he has become a trusted lawmaker known for his accessibility, loyalty, and developmental impact. Through his representation at the National Assembly, he has facilitated projects in education, healthcare, infrastructure, security, and empowerment that continue to transform lives across Owo and Ose LGAs.
The event will be graced by dignitaries from across the country, including Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Governor of Ondo State, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye III, Olowo of Owo Kingdom, lawmakers, traditional rulers, captains of industry, and members of the diplomatic community.
