EFCC Arrest money Lender Over Alleged N32m Fraud
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested one Adamu Monday for allegedly defrauding, Dr Adedeji Kehinde to the tune of N32m.
Dr Adedeji Kehinde, a former Commissioner of Health under the Administration of Dr Olusegun Agagu in Ondo State approached the said Money Lender for a loan of N7m, using the documents of his property as Collateral.
Our Source learnt that, Mr Monday has not only collected over N32m from the former Commissioner but also allegedly changed the documents in his custody to reflect his own, thereby breaching the agreement and trust of both parties.
The Benin Zonal office of the EFCC stormed the Oba Ile residence of the suspect where several documents were carted away by the Officers of the anti graft agency.
Dr Adedeji who sensed foul play and breach of agreement took the matter to the EFCC which led to the arrest of the suspect.
As at the time of filing this report, EFCC is yet to response to the call put across by our correspondent.
