Easter: Christ Exemplified Love, Selflessness, We Must Endeavor to Keep This as Lifestyle – Amb. Akintayo
As Christians around the world commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Ambassador Akintayo Akintunde has called on believers to reflect deeply on the true essence of Easter; love, sacrifice, and selflessness.
In a special Easter message, he extended warm felicitations to Christians, urging them to carry the lessons of the season into their everyday lives.
Ambassador Akintayo emphasized that the life and death of Christ were centered on compassion and selfless service to humanity, values which he said should not be seasonal but practiced daily. “Easter is not just a time for celebration, but a time to remind ourselves of what it truly means to follow Christ. He exemplified love, humility, and sacrifice. We must endeavor to keep this as our lifestyle,” he said.
He further encouraged Nigerians, regardless of faith, to draw inspiration from the message of Easter in building stronger communities founded on peace, tolerance, and mutual respect. According to him, embracing the spirit of unity and service to one another is vital in confronting the challenges facing the nation.
While wishing everyone a peaceful and joyous Easter, Amb. Akintayo expressed hope that the season would renew hearts and inspire collective efforts toward a more just and compassionate society.
